Mogoditshane Land Shortage Crisis

One Hundred and Forty Thousand (140,000)

That is the number of people on the Mogoditshane plot application list currently awaiting allocation, most having applied as far back as 1994.

The Mogoditshane Sub-Land Board faces the challenge of filling this backlog and has frozen new applications until a solution has been found.

Allocation has been slow due to a very simple reason- UNAVAILABILITY OF LAND, coupled with resistance by applicants to apply to other areas of the country.

The Land Board is in desperate need to acquire thousands upon thousands of empty hectares of land (Masimo) on which to allocate plots to the One Hundred and Forty thousand applicants previously mentioned, along with future applicants.
